GCAP Latin America and the Caribbean (GCAP LAC) is an alliance betwen GCAP and the regional network Latindadd – Red Latinoamericana por Justicia Económica y Social. Latindadd is active in 12 countries in Latin America and works mainly on public debt reform/restructuring, fights inequalities and calls for systematic economic, social and environmental reform. The overlapping political priorities have created the basis for great synergy between GCAP and Latindadd.
The first collaborative project between GCAP and Latindadd was the elaboration of National Inequality Studies in Peru, El Salvador, Guatemala and Nicaragua in March 2020. In 2021 a regional study on the impact of COVID-19 on SDGs was created based on national inputs, alongside People´s Assemblies in the 5 participating National Coalitions – Argentina, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Peru.
