Dear colleagues,

We are participating in COP30 in Belem, Brazil from 10 to 21 November. GCAP is fielding a team of 14 people at the COP, eight from Latin America and the Carribean and six from other parts of the world. We are part of the People’s Summit and we will be joining the Climate Justice Global Day of Action on 15 November – this coming Saturday – and call all our members and partners to mobilise.

1. Event: Environmental Education and Climate Challenges: How to Organise Local Action (in-person)

COP30 is a rare opportunity to make our demands for climate justice heard, with social movements, civil society organisations and human rights defenders in Latin America and the Carribean leading the way. Let us make our presence felt in these events and at the Global Day of Action.
