The aim of the study is to show the link between the UN Sustainable Development Goals and migration flows to and from Europe. The survey informs the public and provides a broader perspective on the migration processes of third-country citizens within the EU. Furthermore, it focuses on the various methods of improving integration and reducing inequality, as well as on labour mobility.
The survey methodology includes desktop research, as well as information gathered from in-depth interviews with Bulgarians living abroad and foreigners living in Bulgaria. The recommendations are given at the end of the document focus on improving the living conditions of emigrants and immigrants and on effective migration towards meeting the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
