The Youth Constituency Group aims to strengthen youth involvement and leadership at all levels – from local communities to National Coalitions and the global leadership of GCAP. It works in collaboration with communities and regions most affected by climate change, bringing the perspectives of youth into national and international policy discussions.

The Constituency works with youth organisations to enhance youth-led initiatives within GCAP. Its primary activities include:

• Enabling participation:Supporting youth and other marginalised groups to engage in negotiations and organise actions both at COP events and outside them.
• Hosting interactive events:Encouraging participation in events where young people share their experiences, aspirations, and hopes.
• Facilitating collaboration: Conducting virtual calls and in-person meetings for joint activity planning.
• Implementing joint actions: Organizing decentralised activities such as online campaigns, stunts and advocacy initiatives.
• Youth representation:Ensuring the inclusion of youth representatives in National Coalitions.

The constituency is currently facilitated by Esso Pedessi from Togo and Nuru Mauro from Tanzania.
