The Global Call to Action Against Poverty (GCAP) is part of the International People’s Assembly’s steering group and coordinates its task force. The Assembly is coordinated by the Asian Peoples’ Movement on Debt and Development (APMDD).

The Assembly brings together more than 120 national, regional and global organisations, networks and people’s movements to develop collective strategies and amplify demands for economic, social and climate justice in global policy discussions.

The mobilisation comes amid growing concerns over an international financial architecture that is deepening inequality, poverty and social and environmental injustice. The International People’s Assembly aims to connect local struggles with global advocacy and advance a fairer economic system that puts people and the planet before profit.
