For over a decade, ONE (SINGAPORE) has been dedicated to raising public awareness and taking concrete actions to Make Poverty History. We believe in a world where no one is impoverished, be it here at home or overseas. The Concrete Actions Programme (CAP) links corporate and non-profit partners in a variety of projects in support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Public awareness initiatives include discussions of defining poverty in Singapore, meeting local social needs, migration & human trafficking, and sustainable development. We have been successful at engaging a broad range of community supporters, including students, executives, celebrities and the general public. The $10 Campaign to End Poverty:
1 in 10 Singaporeans are unable to meet basic needs in the form of food, clothing, shelter and other essential expenditures. The $10 Campaign alleviates poverty and inequalities in Singapore through a two-step approach:

First, the $10 Campaign creates an Emergency Fund to provide for the immediate needs of low-income individuals who urgently need help, by paying for items like diapers, school fees, utility bills, doctor visits and transportation.

Second, research & advocacy is funded to create long-term solutions to eradicate poverty, ensuring that no one in Singapore is left behind and that everyone in our nation can live with dignity.

Activities on SDGs:

One Singapore does actions on the Global Day of Action which is observed on the anniversary of the adoption of Agenda 2030. In 2018 as part of its effort to contribute to the process of Voluntary National Review (VNR), it had an interface with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials.
