Behind
The goal of Leave No Woman Behind is that women who face multiple discriminations, exploitation, abuse and/or violence take part in national, regional and global processes to protect their rights and work for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to ensure that they are not left behind.
The four partners – Ghana Federation of Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (GFD) in Ghana, AMASBIF in Mali, & Polycom Development Project in Kenya, and GCAP – work globally and in Africa to highlight the voices and issues of these women and their stories.

Ghana Federation of Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (GFD)
GhanaGhana Federation of the Disability Organizations (GFD) then Federation of Disabled Associations (FODA) was established in 1987 as a national umbrella organization of persons with disabilities with the then Ghana Association of the Blind (GAB), Ghana National Association of the Deaf (GNAD) and the Ghana Society of the Physically Disabled (GSPD), who are the founding members. The GFD is a non-Governmental, non-Profit and non-partisan organisation that works towards establishment and maintenance of official relations with the government of Ghana and its institutions, and organisations both local and international having shared, common interest with those of the Federation. -
Polycom Development Project
KenyaPolycom was started in response to the sexual violence and exploitation faced by young girls in Kibera informal settlement in Nairobi. There was a particular case when a 39 year old man had a sexual relationship with an 11 year old girl that spurred the organisation’s founder, Jane Anyango, into action. She wanted to help girls to understand that they need to take care of their bodies until they are ready. She started by educating girls to understand themselves and make informed decisions concerning their lives, particularly their bodies. The organization was later registered as Polycom Development Project (PDP). -
Association Malienne pour la Sauvegarde du Bien Etre Familial (AMASBIF)
MaliAMASBIF's vision is a more equitable society promoting the rights of women and children in a healthy environment. It's mission is to contribute to the achievement of a better living environment for Malian families. -
Global Call to Action Against Poverty (GCAP)
GlobalGlobal Call to Action Against Poverty (GCAP) supports people in their struggles for justice and brings individuals and organisations together to challenge the institutions and processes that perpetuate poverty and inequalities. Together, we defend and promote human rights, gender justice, social justice, climate justice and the security needed for the dignity and peace of all. GCAP is a network of over 11,000 civil society organisations (CSOs) organized in 58 National Coalitions and in constituency groups of women, youth and social justice, among others.
