GCAP Sri Lanka
SUNFO Peoples Movement
"People Rising Against Inequalities” is the theme of GCAP Sri Lanka’s activities and campaigns. It takes all necessary steps to include marginalized and excluded communities, their voices and their demands as a part of its actions. These groups will be included in GCAP Sri Lanka’s divisional secretariat areas, districts, provincial and national structures. The coalition aims to develop and strengthen its networks and organizing structures to cover the entire country, including youth and women through the “Sustainable Development Youth Network of Sri Lanka” (SDGYNSL) and Sustainable Development Women Focal Points. GCAP Sri Lanka liaises with various academic and policy forums as well as professional associations to include them in planning and capacity-building processes. To ensure the visibility and effectiveness of GCAP Sri Lanka’s perspectives and demands, communication is kept open with the SDG Consultative Committee in the Parliament of Sri Lanka, SDG Unit at Presidential secretariat, Ministry of Sustainable Development, Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of National Policies and Economic Affairs.SUNFO Peoples Movement holds the secretariat of GCAP Sri Lanka.
