All around the world GCAP coalitions are organizing and taking part in events and actions to highlight International Women’s Day and the Faces of Inequality Campaign today!

Many initiatives from massive national women’s strikes to local equality circles to press conferences to are taking place for example in Spain, Senegal, Nigeria, Nepal, Afghanistan, India, Pakistan and Belgium.

Coalitions in Ghana, Kenya and Mali are especially highlighting women who face multiple discrimination and live with disabilities through our work to Leave No Woman Behind. 600 million women globally live with a disability and they are mostly excluded from political processes at all levels and far to less get access to social protection. Together, we can fight for rights and ensure no one is left behind.

Share your events, photos and stories today! Use #IWD2019 and #FacesofInequality, share to GCAP’s Facebook or Twitter or email us!
