GCAP Asia está formada por 13 coaliciones nacionales. Tras la adopción de la Agenda 2030, los integrantes asiáticos de GCAP participaron activamente en la sensibilización, la creación de capacidad y la revisión de las implementaciones de los ODS. Por ejemplo, GCAP Bangladesh (en 2016) y GCAP India, GCAP Nepal y GCAP Japón (en 2017) informaron a las OSC sobre los ODS en respuesta a los VNRs (Reportes Nacionales Voluntarios). En 2017, GCAP Asia también organizó acciones masivas en 13 países alrededor del Día Mundial de Acción el 25 de septiembre. En diciembre de 2017, GCAP lanzó su campaña "Rostros de la Desigualdad" para Asia y el Pacífico en Fiji en colaboración con PIANGO y el centro del PNUD en Bangkok. GCAP Asia es también miembro del Comité Directivo de la Asociación de la sociedad civil de Asia para el desarrollo sostenible (APSD), una iniciativa independiente de la sociedad civil sobre el cambio climático y los ODS. El Coordinador de GCAP Asia coordina la plataforma, que también apoya los procesos de la sociedad civil en los VNRs a nivel nacional. Este año, APSD apoyó los procesos en la República Democrático Popular de Lao, y Sri Lanka en 2018.
